You can explore more of Croatia on a road trip. RVs are a great way to explore the country. Here are some of the highlights from a Croatia RV trip.

Do you have a weekend trip planned? No matter if you are from Europe or America, there is nothing better than a roadtrip in Croatia. This post will discuss one of my recent RV trips to Croatia and what you should expect in “The Land of a Thousand Islands.” It will also provide insight on what you can do when you arrive in the country. Let’s explore Croatia in an RV now.

Why should you consider traveling through Croatia by RV?

It’s understandable that you might be wondering why you would want to use a RV for your first trip. You can choose to travel in an RV whether you enjoy road trips or are not.

First, RV travel is affordable! Renting or owning an RV is cheaper than booking a flight. Since I travel a lot in my small Stracraft launch in the United States I decided to rent one when I arrived in Europe. It saved me money because I didn’t need to worry about accommodation. You can book RVs online in Croatia at Camp Adriatic.

Second, you will love the experience of exploring the entire region while stopping to taste some great wine. is a lover . Croatia has almost 400 wineries and is a new European wine producer. You know what you can expect at these stops.

You’ll also see stunning coastlines, sandy beaches and islands. Did I mention that? People here are friendly. The people are happy to assist you if you have any questions or if your GPS is not working.

Must Stop Places in Croatia

Zagreb was the first city I visited while traveling around the country. It was worth every minute! The city, located along the Sava River is also known as the Homeland of the Necktie. Zagreb’s Cathedral is a popular tourist attraction. If you have the time, you could also visit the Maksimir Museum and Park of Illusions.

Croatia is a country full of interesting stops. Sava River, near Zagreb, is a beautiful river.

Dubrovnik Split Zadar and Pula are all must-stops for RV travelers. There are many RV-friendly sites in these cities that will allow you to discover this beautiful city. Ribnik’s Heart of Nature Camp is a great place to stay if you love nature.

For me, I slept in my RV on Cres Island. You must make sure you catch the ferry before the last ferry. There are still many RV parks across the country. You won’t have to wait long before you find another great place to stay.

What To Expect When Traveling Through Croatia with Your RV

You’ll see many amazing sights as you drive through the city. You may travel through coastal towns such as Banjole. Rovinj. Lovran. Miletici. and Trogir. These routes are sure to be healthy and pleasing to the eye! You can also drive through the city to reach some nature reserves.

In an RV, you can explore the coastal towns.

For me, it was a mix of both. So I chose the route that took me through Zadar where I spent all day swimming and sunbathing on some of the best beaches. The night ended with a trip through the Zumberak Natural Reserve, which has stunning waterfalls. My friends told me about the RV lot and I didn’t hesitate to go there. It was the best choice. The Neretva River is on one side, and the sea bay is on the other. It looked so cool. I wish I could skyboard. The place I’m talking about is the Neretva Delta near Blace.

Camping in Croatia is a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

If you are passing through, it is worth stopping at Plitvice lakes. You should only go early. You may be surrounded by people if you don’t go early. Arriving early allows you to enjoy the beauty of the area. It’s also a great way to escape from the heat, particularly if you are visiting the country in the summer.

Croatia in Different Seasons

There’s no doubt that summer in Croatia can be hot. It’s also the time when tourists from around the world come to the country.

Visit the country during the Autumn months, September or October, if you don’t like the heat and want to avoid crowds. You may be lucky and bask in the sun on a beach by yourself at this time! At this time, I was on vacation. The water is warm and the beaches are deserted. I had a SUP with me, and was able to use it freely along the coast. This is not possible in summer.

The fall is the best time to visit Croatia.

The winters in Croatia are extremely cold. If you are traveling in an RV to Croatia during the winter months, make sure that you have plenty of blankets and heating supplies. You don’t want to have a trip that is not memorable because you spent sleepless nights.

I like the spring and fall seasons. The weather was pleasant and there were many tourist spots in different cities where my family and I could go and enjoy activities.

Plan Your Croatia RV Trip

It’s important that you keep in mind a few points before embarking on this amazing journey. It will make your journey with your family more enjoyable and memorable.

Decide what you’d like to do in the country before arriving. You may be overwhelmed by the number of tourist attractions in Croatia. You may also not be able to fully enjoy your trip if you have limited time.

Plan your route and itinerary according to how many days you plan on traveling. You should also consider your starting point and the time it will take to reach the destination. Don’t forget to insure your RV if you are taking it. You should also consider whether you need a visa in order to enter the country.

When you take your RV trip to Croatia

My RV trip in Croatia was fun and memorable. There were so many things to do that I would love to go back again and again. Don’t hesitate to go on this trip if you are still unsure. It’s worth it, especially if your family or friends are joining you.
