What can you expect from a visit to the Burj Khalifa? Does it live up to the hype? Check out our suggestions and recommendations.

Dubai is visited by people for many different reasons. Others go for the shopping, while others are attracted to the luxury. Almost all of these tourists wind up at the Burj. Many aspiring travellers wonder, therefore, if the building is really worth all the hype. It’s a very popular attraction, and we will explain why. Before we get to that, here’s a quick tip: visitors to Dubai must have valid passports and visas. Be sure to renew your passport before booking a Burj-Khalifa tour.

Back to the Burj. What to expect from a visit to the Burj Khalifa?

Why The Burj Khalifa Is Such A Huge Attraction

How tall is the building? You might have heard it’s the tallest building on the planet. How tall is this building? It is an 828-meter-high (2,716-foot) tall attraction! If you want to compare it with the Empire State Building, then we are talking about double the height. People visit the Burj to experience the thrill of being able to tower over Dubai. From its vantage point, you can view all of Dubai, much like the bird’s-eye view of a city as it flaps its wing.

The view alone is not enough to draw people in droves. Here are a few things that you probably didn’t know about the Burj Khlifa.

1. Enjoy Fine Dining

Love restaurants with great views? At.mosphere is a restaurant located in the heart Burj Khalifa. While you eat oysters or any other meal, you can watch the clouds float over Dubai. It’s more fun to take pictures with a full stomach than on an empty one. Why not have the best of both worlds?

2. Test the speed elevators

Most people will experience an adrenaline rush when they visit the Burj. If you want to spice up your tour, choose the high-speed lifts. One of them even runs at 35 kilometres per hour. You will feel the speed of the elevator as you rush through the floor on your way up to the observation deck.

3. Jump!

Okay. You may not be able to get your adventurous spirit sparked by a Burj Khalifa tour. You may find that even the elevators at high speeds are a piece of cake for you. How about jumping? This will give you a free fall of 2,700 feet. Follow the safety instructions and use the proper gear, since that’s a very long distance.

4. Get High

You’re not thinking green. The idea is to drink alcohol in a bar located 575 meters above ground. The 152nd-floor lounge is the perfect place to enjoy a good tequila and watch people and miniature buildings from. If you feel like it, you can also enjoy your drink outside on the terrace. You can take in some fresh air while enjoying a stunning sunset.

5. View the City

You can also choose the most popular activity, which is to head up to the observation deck, and stare at Dubai from there. You can see the entire city from the 124th or 125th floor. You can also use a telescope to see the distant areas. You can also head up to the 148th level for a better view.

Dubai Mall is also a great place to shop. Although it’s not technically part of the Burj, you have to go through the mall to reach the Burj. A quick stop is not a problem, especially since it contains more than 1,000 shops. It is a great place to shop as there are so many options!
